1 to 10 lbs – 10% off list
11 to 30lbs – 12% off list
31 to 50lbs – 18% of list
51 to 70lbs – 20% off list
How do I sign up? To participate in The Box Project/FedEx Program, please call 1-877-340-2840 for FedEx New Business Acquisition/New Accounts. When you call, you will need to give them your name, address, and phone number and tell them you want to set up a new account. Once your account is set up, ask the account representative to send a message to a sales representative asking them to do a ground link only, to The Box Project national account 15981; linking the account may take a few days. FedEx will send a new account kit to you. The account will not allow 3rd party billing, which means you can not pay when you drop off, your account will be set up to invoice to you.
Notes about shipping:
- The pickup fee is not waived under our program. There are drop off centers in most areas across the US. You can check online for drop off locations-be sure to look for FedEx Ground Drop Off Locations—they may not always be the same locations that are available for FedEx Priority Drop Off. If you set up your account with pickup service, there will be a fee applied to your account.
- FedEx cannot deliver to a P.O. Box.
- Be cautious to properly select the service you want; FedEx Home Delivery is the only service where our discounts apply. If you don’t select a service type, FedEx may assume you want overnight service-those rates are significantly higher than the ground rates, and our discounts will not apply.
- You must have a FedEx Home Delivery barcode on your package. This means you must either order the Prepaid Home Delivery Barcodes in advance from 1-800-463-3339, or print your labels on white paper with a computer printer using the Ship Manager at FedEx.com (which will automatically add the correct barcode). We recommend that you use the Ship Manager at FedEx.com. This is their Web-based shipping tool that allows you to input the information about package size, delivery address, and service type, and then print a courtesy rate quote. You can then print your label (which will include the correct barcode) and drop the shipment at any valid drop off location. Using Ship Manager at FedEx.com when your account is set up and linked to The Box Project account, you should see a discount line on your courtesy rate quote—this is where The Box Project discount will be displayed.
If you don’t use FedEx Ship Manager to prepare your labels you can still check the rates online at www.FedEx.com/rates. You will need your account number and PIN to sign in. On your first visit to the site, select “request a PIN” under the New User section to have a PIN assigned to you. If you do not wish to use the online tools, make sure you confirm that you select FedEx Home Deliver service with whoever is preparing the labels and doing the actual shipping.
- The discounts are only applied after your new FedEx account is linked to The Box Project account number 15981. You can check to see if the discounts are being applied before you print your shipping label using Ship Manager at FedEx.com and looking at the courtesy rate quote to see if discounts are applied. If the discounts are not being applied, call customer service and ask them to send a message to an account representative to have your account linked.
