By donating to The Box Project, you can choose to help American families trapped in rural poverty.

Each year we match hundreds of sponsor families from all over the country directly with families living in the worst areas of rural poverty. Our other programs provide assistance for education and provide funds for emergency needs. This costs money! Membership dues don’t fully cover the expenses of our programs, administrative costs, or simply overhead like telephones, computers, newsletters, correspondence, travel and so much more that is needed to keep the The Box Project going. Dues for matched sponsor families are only $50 a year. But that doesn’t cover every expense, and even though we have only 3 full-time staff and a modest budget of less than $200,000 a year, we still need to raise additional funds to meet our budget each year.

For 40 years, The Box Project has helped families in poverty through donations from people who care and want to make a difference. We strive to make every dollar count, and be good stewards of your trust and commitment to us.  Please see our financial section for accountability and go to www.give.org, the non-profit evaluation division of the Better Business Bureau to see our perfect rating!

Income does not always keep pace with the requests from increasing numbers of recipient families asking us for help. We need YOUR help NOW.
